इक शम्मा है दलील-ए-सहर, सो ख़ामोश है

दाग़-ए-फ़िराक़-ए-सोहबत-ए-शब की जली हुई
इक शम्मा रह गई है सो वो भी ख़ामोश है

The Loss of a Language Family: Death of Boa Sr.

This is to condole the sad demise of Boa Sr. who breathed her last yesternight (26th Jan, 2010) at Port Blair.

Boa Sr. was the oldest and the most prolific of the Great Andamanese people of the Andaman Islands. Her death brings a silent catastrophe to the community which lost a heritage that is equal to identity. The deaths of Nao Jr. last year was the loss of the window from that community to the other world. The loss of Boa Sr. is the loss the house itself. What remains now is only the ruins in a shape and size that cannot even tell of the edifice that was there once.

Welcome to this brand new look of my blog! :)

Now this is really interactive website. It really took me a lot to develop this. There are still some glitches on it. My SMTP server does not seem to be working as good as it should. May be it is Vista Ultimate that I switched to a few days ago. Anyways, but thanks to Joomla! CMS, I have done it finally.

This is my personal blog. Earlier it was hosted at Wordpress™, but since I was enthusiast to host a website of own, I started this new site! Looks it would be fun working on it.

As any personal website, I plan to upload stuff of my interest on this website. Currently it has all the content that was there on my wordpress blog. I have already updated some sections of this site. I plan also to upload more works of mine.
